20 Jan – ‘An anthology of women gardeners in history’. Talk by Helen Sills.

17 Feb – ‘Greenhouse Fever’. Talk by Johnathan Wild.

17 March -‘The Cutting Garden.’ Rachel Petheram specializes in English grown flowers at Doddington Hall in Lincolnshire. She is passionate about natural seasonal flowers produced in a sustainable way.

21 April – Professor  Nigel Dunnett designed those incredible flower meadows we saw in the Olympic Park in 2012 and has created similar huge scale planting in many of our UK inner cities. Lecture about this and Rain Gardens how we can all design into our gardens Flood Mitigation methods.  The Minster school,  Southwell 7.30 for 8 pm. Tickets available from Becketts, Electrical, Southwell, or by calling Chrissie on 01636 816339.

19 May Garden Mystery tour. Meet on the Burgage by the War memorial at 7.30 please.

31 May – Southwell Open gardens. 1-5 pm Church Street and Easthorpians.

13 June Opera in the Garden . 23 Westgate, Southwell. Picnic in the garden from 6.30pm opera from 7.30pm.

16 June – Visit to Hill Holt Wood, Norton Disney, Lincs. LN6 9JP. A woodland working with the local community to create a better environment.

21 July – Visit to The Secret Garden, Wollaton Hall and Deer Park, Wollaton, Nottingham NG8 2AE. Nottingham Hardy Plant Society Botanical garden. 7pm £4

August – Garden Club Trip to gardens in other counties!

15 Sept – Vegetables, speaker to be arranged, and vegetable competition.

20 Oct – Containers, ‘Winter through to late spring ‘ Talk by our esteemed former charlady, Chrissie Dale.

17 Nov – AGM and Garden Question Time.

15 Dec – Quiz and fuddle.
